Monday 3rd September
A manor has stood on this site since before Doomsday. During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries it was owned by the Tynte family. It was sold in a series of auctions between 1948 and 1950. British business man and art collector Edward Strachan bought the estate in 2013 and has begun a comprehensive process of restoration of the house and grounds. The eighteenth century landscape parkland and its features ranked in importance with some of the finest in Europe.
We will have a guided tour of the house and a chance to stroll around the parkland (walking boots or wellies advised).
